(논문요약)[목적] 본 연구는 과거의 양식이 현재에도 다양한 스타일의 무한한 영감으로써 출처를 제공한다는 중요성을 인식하는데 의의를 갖고 앞으로 전개될 패션과 메이크업 변천에 도움이 되고자 한다. (영문초록)[영문초록] Cinema has influenced the popular culture greatly as a mode of integrative art in spite of mere 100 years' history. The costumes, make-up, hair styles, and related accessories of main characters (hero, heroine) of famous movies have been the objects of popular imitation and adoption. These kinds of fashion material have created the restoration and retrospection (retro) fashion through the recreation of elaborative and dandy clothings and beauty design, together with popular support and imitation. The objective of this study is to investigate the roles of costumes and make-up shown in famous movies in 1950's and 1960's on the fashion styles in those days and up-to-date fashion styles and make-up in these days. In addition, the effects of Audrey Hepburn's costumes and make-up in her starring movies in 1950's and 1960's on today's fashion trend are explored extensively. The results of this study are as follows. First, the glamorous style with a full of bosom and hip, and slander waist, stressing sexual attractiveness, have been changed to a modest sexy costume fashion and make-up in matching with a newly emerging fashion trend, not to blind imitation of old fashion style. Second, as a new retro-fashion, Bomry-Look of a female gangster in 1930's was reappeared in the modern fashion community with a mild feminine image and in the make-up pattern of stressing the beautiful eye shape. Third, the hippy style in 1960's was reappeared recently with the mild and tender feminine image as a neo-hipply fashion style. This contemporary hipply style has brought the new expression of ecology make-up and oriental make-up style. Forth, the Audrey Hepburn's costumes in her famous movies once provided the elegant, simple, feminine image of fit and flair silhouette, and show the sexy image with body conscious line in the contemporary fashion. The Hepburn's styled hat, sunglass, scarf has been reappearing with a variety of modes and colors, and also Hepburn's hair cut style has been changing to the bang-hair style. In addition, the Hepburn's make-up style has been influencing the contemporary hair style with some natural and pink make-up style. This study concludes that the styles of costumes, make-up, and hair style shown in the famous movies can recreate and restore the old fashion constructively through in -tegratulg the various elements of the fashion, not by the mere imitation of the old fashion.
