(논문요약)[영문초록] It is the time countless Korean movies are flooding with ten million audience every week. In addition, we can see movies easily from the various media such as the internet, TV, cinema, etc. Even though we can see movies very easily, making a film is another story with complicated processes for producers. Many people work to make a film technically segmented of production, direction, shooting, lighting, sound, etc. The purpose of this research is to find out some important sound components of films, using an digital independent film named 'Journey to Gomsk and my wife'. we examined how much important the production sound recording was, and we researched whether or not we could make effective sound by ADR and the mixing without the synchronous recording. From Sept. 10. 2006 to Sept. 23. 2006 the filming was conducted. For two days, 25th and 28th, we recorded the sound which was based on Protools in the Sangmyung University recording room. The synchronous recording has several effectiveness beyond the meaning of itself. First, it works in the situation which cannot be recorded, so actors empathize easily in a studio with the help of ADR. Second, ADR works well when actors synchronize the sound watching the mouth in the film. ADR delivers words to the audience even clearer than normal recording systems, and due to separated original sound, engineers can edit whatever they want. The result was different from our anxiety of awkward sound by ADR which was conducted with ambience and sound effect mixing. ADR can make accurate sound like production sound, which is matched with the screen. It is enough to satisfy engineers and directors. ADR can emphasize the selected part that directors want to stress like production sound with vividness. Mixing with ADR is very attractive process which blows life into silent images.
