(논문요약)[국문] 한국의 영화 산업 내에서 통용되는 다양성 영화의 개념은 독립영화를 비롯한 예술영화, 다큐멘터리영화 등을 아우르는 의미를 갖는다. 나아가 기존의 메이저 영화가 대규모의 자본 투자를 바탕으로 제작되는 것에 비 해, 영화의 제작·배급·상영의 차원에서 소규모로 진행되는 경우를 다양성 영화라고 부르기도 한다. 이러한 특성 때문에 다양성 영화는 메이저 영화 와의 경쟁 구도에서 상대적으로 도태될 수 있다는 한계점을 태생적으로 안고 있다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 한국의 영화진흥위원회에 서는 각종 지원 및 보호 장치에 대한 논의를 제작·배급·상영의 3단계에서 다각적으로 진행하고 있다. 특히 최근에 들어서는 제작에 대한 지원 방안 보다 배급 및 상영 차원에 초점을 맞추는 추세이다. 즉 배급 및 상영 단 계에서 다양성 영화 전용극장을 설립하여 보다 활발한 유통이 가능하게 하는 것이다. 이러한 방침에 따라 오늘날에는 여러 가지 형태의 다양성 영화 전용극장이 지속적으로 개관되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 다양성 영화 전용극장에 초점을 맞추어 전용극장 이용자들이 극장에 대한 만족감을 느끼고 있는지, 특히 어떠한 요인에 의 해서 만족감을 경험하고 있는지에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 나아가 전용 극장에 대한 만족도를 실제 다양성 영화 관람 편수와 연결 지어 극장 만 족도가 다양성 영화 소비에 실질적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보 았다. 본 연구에서는 분석을 위해 설문조사를 실시하여 217부의 설문 응 답지를 수집하였으며 이들을 통계 패키지 프로그램인 SPSS 18.0으로 분 석하였다. 분석에 사용된 통계 분석 방법으로는 각각의 연구문제에 따라 요인 분석과 다중 회귀 분석, 그리고 단순 회귀 분석이 사용되었다. 먼저 다양성 영화 전용극장의 이용 특성을 살펴보았다. 이용자들의 극 장 이용 동기는 외재적 가치 추구, 개인적 가치 추구, 사회적 가치 추구 등 세 가지의 요인으로 구성되었다. 이어서 이용자들이 전용극장에서 제 공하는 콘텐츠의 특성 중에서도 어떠한 부분을 중요시하는지에 대한 콘텐 츠 선호도 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 이용자들은 작품성과 차별성, 그리 고 개인적 선호를 중시하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 극장 공간 평가 에 대한 분석 결과, 이용자들은 관람시설과 부대시설, 그리고 분위기라는 세 가지 요인을 고려하는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로는 앞서 도출된 다양성 영화 전용극장의 이용 특성이 극장 만 족도에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보았다. 분석 결과, 극장 이용 동기의 세 가지 요인 중에서는 사회적 가치 추구 동기가 극장 만족도에 부(-)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 콘텐츠 선호도의 세 가지 요인은 모두 극장 만족도에 유의미하면서도 강력한 영향력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 극장 공간 평가의 세 가지 요인 중에서는 관람시설과 분위기 요인이 극장 만족도에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 마지막으로 다양성 영화 전용극장에 대한 이용자들의 극장 만족도가 실 질적인 다양성 영화 소비에 유의미한 영향력을 갖는지에 대해 알아보았 다. 분석 결과 두 변인의 관계는 정적으로 유의미한 관계인 것으로 나타 났다. 본 연구는 다양성 영화 전용극장의 여러 가지 특성 중에서도 이용자들 의 극장 만족도에 영향을 미치는 세부적인 특성을 파악했다는 것에 의의 가 있다. 이러한 시도를 바탕으로 향후에 있어서 보다 효율적인 전용극장 운영을 위해 어떠한 개선점 및 강화점이 필요한지를 제시하였기 때문이 다. 그럼에도 불구하고 본 연구에는 다음과 같은 한계점이 남아 있다. 먼저 풍부하지 못한 표본을 바탕으로 연구를 진행하였기 때문에 향후에는 보다 다양한 표본을 확보하여 더욱 정교하게 연구를 실시해야 할 것이다. 또한 설문조사에 측정된 문항에서 일반 극장과는 비교되는 다양성 영화 전용극 장의 차별성을 적극적으로 반영하지 못했다는 한계점이 있다. 마지막으로 전용극장에 대한 이용 특성을 세 가지의 수준에서 한정지었기 때문에 이 용 특성을 보다 다각적으로 구성하지 못하였다. 더욱 더 다양한 차원에서 이용 특성을 구성하여 연구를 실시한다면 이용자와 극장 만족도의 관계가 더욱 타당하게 입증될 수 있을 것이다. (영문초록)[영문] In the film industry of South Korea, the concept of diversity film has a meaning that encompasses independent films, art films, and documentary films. Furthermore, compared with major film is produced by a large-scale capital investment, diversity film has a small-scale production process. D ue to these traits, diversity film suffers inherent limits that could be fall from the competition with major film. To solve this problem, Korean Film Council(KOFIC) implements multi-lateral policies in three stages which are production, distribution, and exhibition. In particular, recent policies focus on distribution or ex-hibition more than production. That means, they would like to estab-lish diversity theaters, so that make diversity film be distributed and exhibited briskly. In accordance with this policy, a lot of diversity the-aters have been established continuously. Focusing on these diversity theaters, this study examined whether users of diversity theater feel satisfaction in using theater, and espe-cially which factors make users satisfied. Furthermore, this study made the connection between satisfaction in using diversity theater and the number of watching a diversity film, so that looked whether the degree of satisfaction impact on substantial consumption of diver-sity film. The followings are the results obtained by statistical analy-ses, including factor analysis, multiple regression and simple regression analysis, with SPSS 18.0, for a total of 217 research data. First of all, this study investigated use characteristics of diversity theater. There are three motivations behind using diversity theater, and they are the external value pursuer, personal value pursuer, and social value pursuer. Next, this study conducted analysis of content prefer-ence which reveals what is the most important characteristic of con-tents to theater users. As a result, users place emphasis on q uality, differentiation, and personal preference. Last, as an analysed result about evaluation of theater space, users consider three factors which are viewing facilities, additional facilities, and atmosphere. Second, multiple regression analysis was conducted to identify the use characteristics of diversity theater to users’ satisfaction. Among the three factors of motivations of using diversity theater, users’ sat-isfaction was affected by social value pursuer in negative. Among the three factors of contents preference, users’ satisfaction was sig-nificantly affected by all three factors in positive. As to the three fac-tors of evaluation of theater space, viewing facilities and atmosphere had an impact on users’ satisfaction in using diversity theater. Finally, this study looked whether the degree of satisfaction impact on substantial consumption of diversity film. As a result, the relation-ship between two variables was found as a statistically significant relationship. The results of this study are highly significant in that it inves-tigated details of characteristics that affect the degree of satisfaction and consumption in using diversity theater. Because this study pres-ents what improvement point and reinforcement point is necessary to more efficient diversity theater operating. If future studies configure more various use characteristics, the relationship between use charac-teristics and satisfaction or consumption in using diversity theater could be proved more appropriate.
