내용

Li Yang has a very unique (crazy) style of teaching English, staging wildly popular mass events with thousands of students in stadium, the Fobidden City, the Great Wall, Marco Polo Bridge, Qinghua University and Peking University in Beijing, and other cities in China. Throughout the lectures, he leads students in cathartic yelling of English sentences. "Study English well to promote world peace!", he cries. Why? Because he wants to make the study of English a patriotic duty and a mystical path to self-improvement,"What is the most concrete way to love your country, Li asks. "To make yourself qualified for the 21st century, to make yourself strong mentally and physically, to make more money internationally - that's the way to love your country". Li Yang is a man who was shy and slow in speech- he feared to speak, feared to answer the phone, and even feared to talk in class. He has not only learned to speak English fluently, but speaks a standard American English. He can also speak a little French, German and Japanese. Since his first lecture tour in 1988, Li has led several thousand events in about sixty cities in China for more than Mainland China, tells his students,"Make international money ! Make money from foreigners ! This is the American Dreams- and I want to make it a Chinese dream!"
