(논문요약)[영문초록] As we know, all fields of the study in contemporary have diversity. Many scholas agree to acknowledge diversity, especially for discussing family.Not only that Family members have been constantly changing but also whole family. And so, a family and its members features variability and diversity. Family influences all fields, and it is taken too. Especially, family relation in Korean society experienced a major change when they faced a national crisis, IMF. The chage of Korean family stucture that was caused by lost of prestige and status of patriarch can be interpreted in crisis of patriarchal system and crisis of masculinity. Crisis of patriarch and broken patriarchy lead to crisis of family and dissolution of family structure in a society which had been regarded patriarch as a head of family. In this situation, family in Korean film began to be restructured. It means restructuring family system functions as a strategy to overcome hardship of family and society. Thus, Korean film began to utilize the family more actively since the late 1990s. Represented Family in Korean Film has shown crisis of family, dissolution of family and restructure of family through various family form. Family form variously represented offers foundation to respect the diversity in Korean society. It is a testing process of restructuring dissolved family. Many people have a wrong premise when they discuss the future in family.They compare a familiar nuclear family with vague notion and assume that other kinds of family form can replace a nuclear family. But it is not that particular family form can replace another. Forms of living together or living apart would be various and it would be coexistent In this point, Quasi-family is the testing process as alternative to the family. There is no distinct definition of family. When we regard that family is not unchangeable but a process of continuous changing, we can approach Quasi-family as alternative to the family. The purpose of this study is to discuss family of reality and to overcome the contradiction of family through family represented in Korean film, and to recognize coexistence of various family form through Quasi-family.
