- (논문요약)This thesis focuses on the historicizing the melodrama by paying attention to the history that was excluded in the film criticism on melodrama. In the thesis, its objects are established with the melodrama in the nineteenth century, the Hollywood family melodrama in the 1950s, and the melodrama of the North-East Asia. Through these objects, this thesis tries to deconstruct the central position of Hollywood Family Melodrama, and to observe the text in the relation with the history.
