- (논문요약)[목적] 이 논문에서 영화 자막의 축역 과정에서 하나하나의 담화가 어떤 행위성을 내포하고 있는지, 그 행위들이 등장인물들 간의 상호작용에 있어 어떻게 <자극>-<반응> 형식 아래 구조화되는지를 파악하는 화행론적 관점이 고려되어야 한다는 점에 주목하였다. 이런 관점을 바탕으로 특정 프랑스 영화 텍스트의 한국어 번역본에서 화행을 고려한 축역이 아주 원만하게 처리된 사례를 분석 소개하고, 다소 미흡한 대목에 있어서는 대안을, 명백한 오역에 대해서는 좀더 구체적인 분석과 더불어 대역을 제시해 보자는 것이 이 논문의 구체적인 목표이다. (영문초록)[영문초록] The function of translators is important these days in Korea where foreign films are overflowing on television and in the theater. These foreign films are composed of characters, image and speech. So the speech makes characters and the value or interpretation of images vary. This paper examines the importance of condensation considering illocutionary acts when constrained while translating and subtitling French films into Korean. The subtitling is restricted by time, space and the receptivity of the audience. For that reason, translators couldn't wholly translate the text of departure so they are obliged to condense 30-50% of text. It is noticed that while condensing the film, the illocutionary acts have to be considered. That is, what statement has what act and how the acts are organized among the characters in the film. For materials, the French film Le Fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain of Jean-Pierre Jeunet and La Ville est tranquille of Robert Guediguian were selected. The purpose of this thesis is first, to introduce the examples of condensation considering illocutionary acts in subtitling two films, and second, to point out mistakes in the translation of these films and propose an alternative translation when mistranslation exists.
