- (논문요약)[영문초록] The purpose of this article is providing that korean SF(science fiction)films which failed to industrial parts to attract viewers and find some critical eulogy. But alternative way to korean SF films <The Host> gives some answers about korean SF genre. However, previous korean SF genre Film critics and researchers have been interested in spectacles through movies including explosive buildings, car chasing and tough fighting. This scene is neccesssary to make SF films but not a key point to successful korean SF movies because korea film industry dosen't enough capital, technologies and computers creating CGI(computer graphic images) more than Holly wood system. <Star Wars episode 1, 2, 3>, <Transformer>, <Spider man 3> are created more than about 100 million$ but korea SF movies that <wonderful days>, <yesterday> smaller scale movies compare to Holly wood movies. So, Korea movies industry have other strategic to make something special appealing koreans. As article mentioned, SF genre have been eccentric point to explain not coming future. However, most korean SF film did not serve this concerns and they did not show the contextuality that means SF films connected and revealed to real social problems. <The Host>, however, overcomes this problems that previous korean SF films which confused narrative and not ambiguous characters. Also, birth of creature has providing some kinds of social criticism of korean various system that governments are very impotents to US army and not protect to low class citizens. This article conclude that <The Host> is very political and controversial film and this tendency has to give koran films industry to another 'cannon' to make korean SF film. SF films are related to development of computer technology that means well- made SF moves contributing to korean film industry. So, analysis of <The host> are very important work because of industrial part and contents.
