(논문요약)[영문초록] Combined with the digital technologies, the analog film-making environment is going through very fast and diverse changes. Thus a cinematographer needs to have a set of criteria in selecting the most appropriate technologies of the various film-making systems for the concerned film. This study analyzed the criteria of selecting cinematographic systems for <Auld Lang Syne>, a low-budget short film, in terms of costs and completion. It is a queer film not common to the country. The director wanted to show the audience that even the elderly and homosexuals love the same way as ordinary people through the work. The visual concepts to reveal the intention expressed the emotions and situations of the two main characters realistically. And the visualization of those visual concepts were analyzed around cinematography and lighting. A film is an art and technology to a cinematographer at the same time. Thus the investigator tried to aesthetically visualize the visual concepts, which were the results of joint contemplation with the director, on the screen in addition to the technological aspects of <Auld Lang Syne>.
