(논문요약)[국문초록]2011 경주엑스포 주제영상 “벽루천(푸른 눈물 팔찌)”은 3D입체+CG 실사 영화로는 국내 최초이자 단일 건으로는 최대인 제작비 25억이 투입되어 경주를 배경으로 한 3D입체 실사촬영과 CG/VFX 합성작업을 통해 만들어진 3D입체영화이다. 이 작품은 러닝타임 20분 단편이지만 국내 최고의 3D 입체 전문 제작스태프들이 모여 2010년 11월부터 2011년 7월까지 총 9개월에 걸쳐 프리 프로덕션 단계부터 프로덕션, 포스트 프로덕션의 전 과정에 참여하면서 많은 관심을 끌었는데, 그동안의 국내 3D입체 제작경험들을 이 한편으로 잘 녹여낸 작품으로 평가받고 있다. 본 논문은 3D입체영화 “벽루천”의 제작과정을 구체적으로 살펴보고, 향후 입체영화 제작 시 보완해야 할 과제를 제시함으로써 입체영상을 기획, 제작하고자 하는 많은 사람들이 유의해야 할 점들을 미리 알고 대처할 수 있도록 하고자 한다. 즉, 입체영화 제작 시 3D의 입체감과 깊이감을 충분히 고려한 사전 비주얼 스토리텔링 단계가 무엇보다 중요하다는 사실이다. 각각의 전문분야의 전문가들이 사전에 충분히 토의하여 스토리 제작방향을 결정함으로써 향후 3D입체제작 시 불필요한 작업시간과 비용을 줄이고, 완성도 높은 영상물을 제작할 수 있기 때문이다. 아울러, 2D 중심의 제작환경에서 3D입체영상을 만들 때 3D효과를 극대화할 수 있는 다양한 기법 등의 제작방식의 변화와 제작환경의 변화가 향후 과제로 중요하게 고려되어야 한다는 점도 지적한다. 또한 다양한 형태의 제작물들을 제작할 수 있는 인적 및 물적 환경, 촬영 및 편집장비의 원활한 접근성 확대, 양질의 3D콘텐츠를 만들기 위한 필요한 정부의 꾸준한 지원 정책 등이 향후 3D입체영상의 미래를 결정짓는 중요한 요소임을 밝히고자 한다. (영문초록)[영문초록]Byeok-Rhoo-Cheon(The Bracelet of Blue tears), a fantasy 3D film shown at Gyeongju World Culture Expo 2011 in South Korea, was a milestone for the film industry: It was a first 3D movie applying computer graphics technology (CG) for shooting real 3D images during the production in Korea; 2.5 billion Korean won was invested into the production -- the largest budget for a single such title which garnered rave reviews from both the movie-goers and industry experts across the nation. Though the running-time is short -- 20 minutes long, the film attracted considerable attention from the beginning as the "cream of the crop" in the 3D film industry participated in the whole production of the movie from a pre-production all the way to a post-production which took nine months to complete starting November of 2010 through July of 2011. In this paper, which largely tries to put specific focuses on the production of the film, I would like to highlight some points which could be improved in the next-time 3D film production processes so that people in the industry may take a more proactive approach to this matter. When it comes to making a successful 3D film, a planning of "visual story-telling process" ahead of the main work, is increasingly important than anything else and this should fully take into account the key factors able to realize vivid 3D images: depths and dimension in the three-dimensional technology. How to steer a course of story-making -- which might be best if as many experts in the field would join -- can help you avoid unnecessary processes in terms of time and money and, bolster the chances of creating a high quality visual content. Moreover, an improvement in a way of producing movies and shooting environments, to maximize 3D effects should, be regarded with the utmost importance; This is all the more important, especially when you engage in making a 3D film under the largely "2D-centered" environments. A range of other measures to upgrade the 3D film industry deserve much consideration: To make sure to create a better environment in producing as varied content as possible; To make easier access for 3D shooting equipment in general; and to nurture the industry by consistent government support for future growth of the sector.
