(논문요약)[국문초록]본 연구결과 영화산업의 특성을 이해하고, 영화산업 제작단계의 이해를 통한 영화산업의 전반적인 회계처리 방식을 파악하며, 영화산업 종사하는 기업들의 회계처리 문제점을 알아내는 동시에 해결 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 선행연구를 통하여 영화산업의 특성을 이해하였고, 영화산업의 전반적인 회계처리 방식을 영화산업 회계처리 기준안과 실제 기업의 재무정보를 통하여 현황을 살펴보았으며, 영화산업에 종사하는 기업들의 회계처리 문제점을 알아 내는 동시에 해결방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 물론 기업의 크기나 특성에 따라서 조금씩 다를 수 있는 재무제표이지만 큰 틀을 제시하고 있는 영화산업 회계처리 기준안을 세부적으로 잘 따라 나간다면 영화산업에 종사하는 기업들의 회계처리가 한결 간결해 지는 동시에 회계정보의 투명성이 높아지게 될 것이다. 더불어 2004년에 만들어진 영화산업 회계처리 기준안을 현시점에서 영화산업의 특성과 기업회계기준과의 보편성까지 고려한 기준안 재정비를 위한 보완작업이 꼭 필요할 것으로 생각하며, 개정작업을 마친 회계처리 기준안을 국내 회계법인과 영화산업에 종사하는 기업들에게 배포를 하여 회계처리를 하는 것이 한국 영화산업을 위한 투명한 회계처리의 첫 걸음이 될 것이다. 본 연구는 현재 국내 영화산업의 대표적인 기업 6개의 재무상태표와 손익계산서 상의 회계정보들을 통하여 영화산업 회계처리의 전반적인 개선점을 찾는 것에 의의가 있으며, 영화산업 회계처리 기준안의 기준 내용을 중심으로 개선 방안을 제시하였다. 국내 영화산업의 회계처리에 대한 연구가 지금까지 대부분 문헌적 연구에 그쳤지만, 실제 기업들의 회계사례를 통하여 회계처리 개선방안을 제시한 것에 의의가 있을 것이다. (영문초록)[영문초록]This study aims to comprehend the general accounting system of the film industry, to analyze problems of accounting of companies engaged in the film industry and to suggest solutions, by considering characteristics of the film industry and film production processes. Firstly, an advanced research was conducted to understand characteristics of the film industry. Then, the real state of the general accounting system in the film industry was examined, based on accounting guidelines and financial information of companies, and problems of accounting of companies in the industry were analyzed to propose solutions. Of course, financial statements can be a bit different according to corporate scale and property, but following accounting guidelines of the film industry which provide big frames on it faithfully would simplify accounting of enterprises in the film industry and improve transparency of accounting information, at the same time. Moreover, it is considered that accounting guidelines of the film industry drawn up in 2004 should be reorganized and remedied, in consideration of properties of the film industry and universality of corporate accounting criteria, and distributing revised accounting guidelines to domestic accounting firms and companies engaged in the film industry would be the first step of transparent accounting for Korean film industry. This research focused on looking for improvements of the general accounting system of the film industry, based on accounting information in financial statements and income statements of six companies that represent the domestic film industry, and the contents of accounting guidelines of the film industry were considered to suggest improvements. In conclusion, this study has significance in the way that it devised improvements of accounting system of the film industry, by analyzing accounting cases of companies engaged in the film industry, while most studies on accounting of the domestic film industry have been restricted to literature searches, so far.
