(논문요약)[국문] 소설을 원작으로 한 영화 제작은 과거부터 현재까지 줄곧 이어지고 있는 하나의 현상이다.우리나라의 경우 1960년대 문예영화 시대를 거쳐 현재에 이르렀다.문학 등 문자문화에 비해 영상문화가 압도적인 현상이 된 2000년 대 들어서도 소설의 영화화는 도리어 증가하는 추세를 보인다.이 논문은 2000년대 소설의 영화화 과정에서 스토리 전개에 드러나는 추리기법 문제를 주목하고 있다. 추리는 인간의 인식행위 중에서도 매우 중요한 역할을 수행한다.경찰 수 사와 같은 사회 현장에서는 물론이고 철학,심리학,문학 등 인문학의 다양 한 분야에서도 활용되고 있다.특히 서사문학에서 추리는 주요한 역할을 하 고 있는데 이야기의 전개,사건의 복잡화,구조를 통한 효과,결말에 있어서 까지 적용되는 범위가 넓다. 산업혁명을 거친 유럽에서 근대적 소설 형식이 발생되면서 추리소설로 명 명되는 소설 양식이 인기를 끈 사실은 잘 알려져 있다.영화의 발달에도 이 들 추리소설이 기여한 바는 혁혁하다 할 정도이다.특히 대중성을 확보한다 는 차원에서 소설과 영화 모두 추리기법의 효과는 이미 정평이 나 있다.한 국에서는 추리소설 장르의 출범이 늦었지만 그 기법이 지니는 효력에 대해 서는 익히 공감해 왔다. 소설이나 영화와 같은 서사 장르는 대개 필연적으로 대중성의 확보라는 과 제를 안게 된다.한국소설과 영화도 예외가 아니다.이 논문은 2000년대 들 어 소설과 영화에서 추리기법의 활용이 빈번해지고 심화되고 있다는 사실을 주목하고 이 매체에 나타나는 내용을 분석하고 있다. 소설과 영화에서 대표적으로 활용되는 추리기법을 의문형,구조적 특징,결 말에 따른 특성으로 유형화하고 각 유형에 적합한 대상 작품을 선정했다.원 작소설에서의 추리기법 사용이 영화화된 경우 어떠한 변화를 보였는지를 확 인하는 방식으로 연구가 진행되었다.또한 각 매체에 활용된 추리기법을 통 해 나타나는 효과를 알아보고 매체 간에 나타나는 장단점은 물론 그 차이까 지 확인했다. Ⅱ장에서는 추리기법 중에서도 다양하게 제시되는 의문을 유형화해 연구를 진행했다.‘누가’,‘언제‘,‘왜‘에 해당하는 의문형이 서사에 있어 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 확인했다.Ⅲ장에서는 추리기법으로서의 서사구조와 이를 토대로 한 매체간 활용 변화에 주목했다.추리기법을 활용한 소설에서의 구조가 영 화에 반영된 경우는 물론 삭제되었거나 부각된 경우까지도 확인해볼 수 있 었다.Ⅳ장에서는 유형화된 결말형태를 토대로 추리기법으로서의 결말이 완 결형에 그치지 않음을 확인했다. 추리기법은 대중성을 의식한 방법이자 방편이다.독자 또는 관객은 지속적 으로 제기되는 의문과 해결의 과정에서 발생되는 효과를 통해 감정을 이입 하기도 하고 사건 전개에 집중하기도 한다.이 연구는 추리기법이 소설과 영 화 두 매체의 질적 가치 향상에 도움이 될 수 있을 것이라는 전제에서 출발 했다.이를 토대로 추리기법을 통해 얻을 수 있는 효과와 특성을 확인했다. 또한 추리기법을 활용한 소설과 영화의 매체적 특성까지도 비교할 수 있었 다.추리기법은 다양한 곳에서 여러 형태로 활용되고 있다.하지만 이를 기 법으로 규정하고 유형화해 서사는 물론 소설과 영화라는 매체에 적용 비교 했다는 데 이 논문의 의의를 둔다. (영문초록)[영문] The production of film based on novel has been continued as a phenomenon from the past to the present. In the case of Korea, there used to be a period of literacy pictures and now, in 2000s, the cinematization of novels still has increased although image culture maintains dominant position rather than character culture including literature. This thesis concentrates on detective technique, or detective technique, unfolded in the development of story in process of the cinematization of novels in 2000s. Inference, or reasoning, plays a significant role among recognition activities of human being. It has been utilized not only in the social field, but also in the diverse areas of humanities such as philosophy, psychology, or literature. In particular, the inference plays a primary role in epic literature, broadly applied to the development of story, the complexfication of event, storytelling impact, settlement, and so on. It is well-known that a type of novel called as detective novel was once popular in Europe where Modern novel form emerges by going through the industrial revolution. What the detective novels contributed to the development of films was remarkable as well. Especially, the detective technique has a reputation for its effect on both novel and movie in terms of popular appeal. Even though the launch of the genre, detective novels, was late in Korea, we have concurred with the effectiveness of the technique. The narrative genres such as novel or film has a task of the popular appeal on hand. There is no exception for Korean novel and film. This dissertation pays attention to the fact that the detective technique has been frequently utilized and intensified in novels and movies in 2000s, and analyze the contents of the media. This paper classified representative detective techniques applied to novel and film as interrogative forms, structural characteristics, characteristics of conclusion, and selected subject works that are appropriate each types. In case of the cinematization of an original novel applied to a detective technique, the research was conducted in a way to examine any changes occured in the process. Furthermore, the impact of detective techniques employed in each of the media was investigated, and the difference between the media as well as the advantages and disadvanteges of the media were explored. In the chapter Ⅱ, the study was carried out to classify the a variety of questions raised among the detective techniques and understand how the interrogative forms including 'Who,' 'When,' and 'Why' influence on the narrative. In the chapter Ⅲ, narrative structure as a detective technique and the applying transformation in one media based on it were concentrated on. It was proven that there are cases that not only the structure of a novel utilizing a detective technique is reflected to a movie, and but also it is removed or emphasized. In the chapter Ⅳ, it turns out that the conculsion as a detective technique is not just a completing form. Detective technique is a method and means taking account of mass appeal. Readers or audiences tend to show emphathy through an effect occured in the process of constant questioning and solving or pay attention to developments. The premise of this study is that the detective techniques can help the two media, novel and film, to improve their qualitative value. Having its roots in this, the efficacy and features of the detective techniques were comprehended. What's more, novel and film utilizing the detective techniques were compared. The detective techniques have been used in various areas and in several ways. The significance of this thesis, however, is that they were applied and compared to novel and film as well as to the narrative by regulating them as techniques and classifying them.
