Synopsis
Lee Yeong-jin has roamed around for 7-8 years after leaving his hometown. He comes back to his deserted hometown but all of his relatives have immigrated to another place already. By chance, he runs into an old man that he used to be fond of in the past and ends up going to his house. Yeong-jin falls in love with the man's daughter Sun-ee and starts up a night school, unable to leave her. He keeps the night school open, despite the slander from the uncompassionate townspeople. Kang Byeong-jo, the wealthiest man in town, requests that Sun-ee marry his only son Yun-gil in place of the money her family owes him. The day before the wedding, Sun-ee is about to jump off from a giant cliff when Yeong-jin appears and saves her life. The two set off with their father to go as far as they can from the town.
