Synopsis
Mrs. Han (Lee Min-ja), who married into the noble Kim family and whose young husband has died prematurely, falls in love with servant Seong-chil (Sin Yeong-gyun) and become pregnant with his baby. Knowing that the baby's father is his servant, her father-in-law throws Seong-chil and the baby out of the house. Twenty years later, the grown-up baby, Yong-gil (Park Seong-dae), comes to see his mother Mrs. Han, but she refuses to see him and sends him away. She has long felt guilty because she had defied the moral tenet that a widow should remain faithful to her husband.
