Synopsis
After her husband dies, Jung-suk lives with her six-year-old daughter Ok-hi and her mother-in-law. One day, the newly appointed teacher Han Sun-ho rents out the guest room of their house. Ok-hi follows around the guest. Sun-ho and Jung-suk are also drawn to each other. When their servant gets pregnant, suspicion falls on Sun-ho but it is soon revealed that the baby's father is the egg peddler. When Ok-hi's drawing wins a drawing contest, Jung-suk and Sun-ho spend a day together in Seoul. Afterwards, the mother-in-law catches on to their relationship. Thirsting for love, Jung-suk and Sun-ho confirm their love but when he learns that his wife is seriously ill, Sun-ho leaves immediately. Unable to say a word, Jung-suk just hides far away with Ok-hi and sees him off.
