Synopsis
The Muldori Village worships the 15-year old widow god called Seonangnim. When the village lord's son drowns to death, the villagers try to appease the soul by holding a spiritual wedding of the living and the dead. They go to the master of ceremony to ask for a special exorcism. The master of ceremony claims that the exorcism can only be held every 10 years with an oracle and refuse. However, the exorcism is held despite the refusal and the lord's illegitimate son Heo falls for the new bride Bu-yong. But Bu-yong is raped by a boatman wearing the mask of the butcher. When the holy mask is burned, the village falls to chaos. A revelation to create another holy mask is given to Heo.
