Synopsis
Bun-ie wants to help her household - her widowed mother and young sister. She ends up getting sold to a bar. On her first day, Bun-ie meets Dal-jung who introduces her to Official Choi, a wealthy man in the country. Bun-ie becomes Choi's daughter-in-law. Bun-ie does her best to do right by her new family - her feeble-brained husband, Young-gu, her parents-in-law, and sister-in-law. She works like a maid and even has a son. But in the end, her mother-in-law and sister-in-law run Bun-ie out of the house. Bun-ie works from restaurant to restaurant. Soon, she owns her own restaurant and helps the poor kids in the neighborhood. Afterwards, Bun-ie runs into Young-gu in Busan. He is working as a shoe-shiner. Her mother-in-law and sister-in-law repent their wrongdoings against her. With her fortune, Bun-ie is able to buy back her husband's old house. Together, the whole family returns to the country and lives happily.
