Synopsis
As an adverse reaction to American life, Susan Kim runs away from home. She wanders into the pleasure district and accidentally kills someone, landing her in jail. After serving seven years, Susan is given a special pardon. She meets Kang Hyun-wu, a middle-aged Korean-American who is looking for his wife. Susan and Hyun-wu go to Lake Tahoe together. While on the road, they meet Heo Dong-man, who stays in the country illegally, and he joins their party. After overcoming a series of events together, they decide to go their separate ways once they reach Lake Tahoe. Hyun-wu continues the search for his wife, Ja-young, alone. They have a reunion in a sewing factory. Dong-man and Susan discover the light of salvation through their love for one another.
