Synopsis
Yu-ri makes her living out of prostitution while she puts her baby into asleep by feeding the baby with the mixture of milk powder and alcohol. As she gets fed up with raising a child by herself, she encounters an opportunity to give away the baby. The first thing her instinct let her feel is ease of being carefree rather than sorrow. I was motivated by the note that farmers during the Imperial Russia era could not help themselves but feeding their babies vodka so that they could go to work. When it comes to motherhood, Korean women are very peculiar. I tried to make a film that could let audience contemplate on women’s right to be self-oriented.
