Synopsis
“10 Years of Seongjong of Joseon, a good king by day, a tyrant by night” History remembers Seongjong as ‘a king who gave comfort to the people and improved government affairs’, and is assessed to be the king that had the most peaceful and stable reign of the entire Joseon Dynasty. However, did Seongjong truly have the qualities of a truly good king? Seongjong took the throne with the help of Queen Jeonghui, Queen Insu, Han Myeonghoe and other vassals. In the first year of his reign at the age of 13, he gave honors and promotions to 73 vassals! The nobility were thrilled with Seongjong becoming king, while the commoners cried in suffering with his ascent to the throne. “Is Joseon a country reigned by phantoms like you?” Behead King Seongjong, the puppet dreaming of peace but tyrannizing the people!
