Synopsis
One spring day, Hyun-jin moves into a worn-down apartment in a small town. She works at a steel factory doing administrative work during the day, and studies during the evening for the civil service exam. However, she has trouble sleeping at night due to the noise from her next-door neighbor. She tries to ask for the realtor’s help, but she gets yelled at instead. Soon after that, Hyun-jin suffers from hallucinations and gets fired from the factory. Next-door to Hyun-jin is a mysterious high school girl, Joo-hee, and her family. One day, Joo-hee’s mother asks Hyun-jin to tutor Joo-hee. When Hyun-jin gets to know about Joo-hee and her family secrets, she feels sympathetic towards the young girl and opens up to her. A few days after Joo-hee confesses that she wants to murder someone in the neighborhood, those people actually get murdered. Hyun-jin starts to suspect Joo-hee behind the crime. Ms. Park who works at the municipal office is reminded of the girl who lived next-door to her ten years ago. On the last day of April, Ms. Park visits her old apartment, where she’s faced with an unbelievable scene.
