Synopsis
Hojuki is what they call Australian jets during the Korean war and also a nick name of an old man, Lee Hyung-chul who is quick in returning to the prison. He is good in nature but a petty theft to feed himself makes him an ex-convict with 38 offenses. This time he comes back to prison only a few days after he has been released, charged with larceny of stealing a goat and sentenced 10 years in prison in Cheongsong without trial. Twelve years later, he would be 72. He doubts whether he would get out alive with his health failing with chronic empyema. On the way to Cheongsong, they stay in Kunsan prison where the warder is well acquainted with Hojuki. He remembers Hojuki once in Uijongbu prison dozed off outside the prison door while they thought he escaped, he came back on his own. He treats Hojuki's illness and even holds a feast to celebrate Hojuki's 60th birthday. However Hojuki is scared of Cheongsong prison and ends up leaves to the other world with only a roll of toilet paper behind.
